Terms of Use

Last updated 8 September 2026 · PGari Inc.

PGari Glowee is made by PGari Inc. Orders are sold and fulfilled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Your purchase contract for payment is with Paddle; the licence to use PGari Glowee is with us.

What you are buying

A perpetual, non-exclusive licence to run PGari Glowee on the Macs you own or control — one Mac or three, depending on which licence you bought — for as long as you like. The e-mail with your key states how many Macs it covers. Every future version of PGari Glowee is included at no extra cost. There is no subscription and nothing expires.

What you may not do

We may cancel a licence that is being shared publicly. If that ever happens to you by mistake, write to us and we will put it right.

The free trial

PGari Glowee works fully for seven days with no account and no card. Nothing is charged, and nothing happens automatically when the trial ends — the boost simply stops until you buy a licence.

What PGari Glowee does to your Mac

PGari Glowee raises brightness on Liquid Retina XDR and other EDR displays by scaling the display gamma table and holding the panel in HDR mode. This uses documented macOS behaviour and is undone the moment you switch PGari Glowee off or quit it. Nothing is installed into the system, and no kernel extension is used.

Running a display brighter uses more power and generates more heat, exactly as raising the built-in brightness slider does.

Use at your own risk

You use PGari Glowee entirely at your own risk. PGari Glowee drives your display beyond the brightness range that macOS exposes in the brightness slider. We make no promise, of any kind, about what that does to your hardware over time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PGari Inc. accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage to, degradation of, shortened lifespan of, or change in the behaviour of your display, your Mac, or anything connected to it, however caused and whether or not such damage was foreseeable. This includes burn-in, image retention, uneven backlight, colour shift, panel failure, thermal damage, and loss of warranty coverage from your hardware manufacturer.

PGari Glowee is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PGari Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or business interruption. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

If you are not willing to accept this risk, do not install or run PGari Glowee. Uninstalling PGari Glowee returns your display to its normal state.

In practice: PGari Glowee works the same way as the extended-brightness features in BetterDisplay, Vivid and similar apps, which people have run on XDR Macs for years. Our developer has used this technique, and those other apps, daily on his own Macs without ever encountering a problem. That is personal experience over a limited number of machines — it is not a warranty, not a prediction, and not a statement about your hardware. The paragraphs above are what governs.
